I've never gotten around to playing any of the GTA's, actually. I've played other Rockstar games, but it never crossed my mind to give their most acclaimed series a shot.

Should I wait 'til this comes out or start somewhere like on IV or something?

I'd say you should start off with either San Andreas or GTA IV. San Andreas has the most customization and gameplay elements but GTA IV has glorious physics-based mayhem.

And in GTA V, we get both!

Start with Vice City or at least San Andreas and if you feel like it, go for some of the older ones. The first two are free on the Rockstar website.

Wasn't actually leaked but Rockstar decided to publish the map themselves, after someone from Reddit got their hands on a early copy of the strategy guide. People were complaining there was just too many big empty spaces with nothing to do. But GTA IV was detailed down to the core and had almost nothing to do in the end. If Rockstar can take what they have done with Red Dead Redemption, implement it with GTA V and add a few extras here and there everything should be dandy.

You gotta admit, the speculation maps by the fans were pretty accurate for only being based on the trailers and a glimpse of the blue print.
