What's your opinion on TES games?
I don't think that they are the greatest games ever made like some people do, but Morrowind is my personal favorite game of all time. That said, I know it has flaws, but every game does, may they be major or minor.
I haven't played the first two but I'm going to start Daggerfall soon. Oblivion has great quests and the graphics are pretty good for 2006 not to mention fucking with the adoring fan is some of the funnest shit in vidya. But the combat is floaty and doesn't have much depth. The level scaling makes everything too easy and doesn't give you good loot if you're lower leveled, along with other flaws. And don't get me started on the potato faces.
Skyrim had potential to be good, judging from all the trailers and info. Skyrim lacked in almost every aspect compared to Oblivion and most definitely Morrowind/Daggerfall. I think the thing I hate the most is how they took out skills and traded them in for perks. I don't see why they couldn't have had both. They could have even done it Fallout 3/New Vegas style with skills and interesting perks. Most of the skills are useless and/or easy to level up. I could sit here and type out every flaw with Skyrim but I don't think anyone would enjoy reading that. On to the positives. The combat feels slightly less floaty from Oblivion but is still floaty. I think the magic was nice and with some more and creative spells, could be awesome. It is pretty good at taking up your time, but after under 100 hours I got bored of it, which I guess is a good amount of game time.
I haven't been able to play TES Online in its beta yet, but once I do I will form a valid opinion of it. Until then, it's shittier than Skyrim.
In the end, I think they all have great music and they all have problems but most def' have pluses.
Sorry for the wall of text, but I left out a full opinion on Morrowind to cut it down some.
