| Recently i bought a dreamcast off of a friend for $20 that came with cables, 1 controller, 1 gun controller, and the console itself (with 56k Modem). Now i've burnt the following games: US Shenmue (3 Disc) Shenmue II (English Mod) (4 Disc) Daytona USA 2001 Ikaruga GTA 2 Crazy Taxi Plus a Utopia Boot Disc for Imports.
Now i was wondering what else to get since i just got the basics. So tell me what other games to play, what accessories to get (NEED TO GET A VMU/MEMORY CARD PRIMARY), and whatever else i need for the Dreamcast. Posting this thread for talking about the Dreamcast and Links/Sources to get items cheap. |

| Get Soul Caliber, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, RE:Code Veronica, Jet Grind Radio, Power Stone, Ready2Rumble Boxin', etc.
I still have mine from over a decade ago, I got it on release because I saved-up my money. c: | |

| I'm not too experienced with the Dreamcast, but I know Skies of Arcadia is supposed to be the definitive RPG for the system & I believe there's some sort of chord that connects the Neo Geo Pocket Color to the Dreamcast controller so you can play NGPC games on a big screen. | |

WELCOME TO MRN4RMN4RM'S DREAMCAST BACKUP BURNING GUIDE1.Get some CD-Rs for starters (Best ones are Verbatim & Taiyo Yuden since they can last longer due to having a special coating in them, but i use TDK's.) -Here's a Thread for What types of cd-rs that can work. Scroll to the bottom for user BaLLZaCH posting a list of CD-Rs that work. -For most games, you can use 700MB 80 Min ones, but others require 99 min CD-Rs (those are easily noted for the site i'll reference you to though) 2. Download the DEMO version of the Program Discjuggler (I Use Version 6). It's perfect for burning since the limit is 700mb for the demo. -For the other games over that file size, you can overburn the game or Download another Program called ImgBurn (great for burning Xbox 360 Games as well) since i've heard it has a good success rate. 3. Go to a website that hosts ISOs for dreamcast. I use the site The Iso Zone. They have a shit ton of games to choose from and list which ones are 99 Min burns, as well as Homebrew software and such. 4. Download a game that can Self Boot. All of the games i downloaded have Self Booted so it's all good. -In the case that it doesn't Self Boot, download the Utopia Boot Disc and burn it. It's good for playing Backups and Imported games. 5. Burn the game AT THE LOWEST BURN SPEED POSSIBLE. Anything higher and it'll mess up the Image. Click Yes when it says "Are You Sure you want to burn in Evaluation Mode?" and wait for the game to burn. Most cases, it'll take 5 to 10 minutes to burn the game depending on file size. -Also if Discjuggler says if you want to fix the image, CLICK NO. This will also mess up the image. 6. Pop that sucker in and Play. If you have any trouble, i'm free to answer questions. If the guide is too fucking confusing, i'll make a how-to video on how i do it because fuck it why not if needed. Hope this helps. |

Missing anything? Crazy Taxi, Shenmue 1 & 2, REZ, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 are good to download. Also the Sonic Adventure games are ok but optional since they haven't aged all that well. You can also get some Bleemed! Games. What are Bleemed! Games you may ask? Bleemed! Games are games from the PS1 Emulated on the Dreamcast with a emulator called Bleem!. Bleem! was a emulator made for the market to show off that games for the PS1 can not only play on the DC, but look more bedazling and all that junk. However, they only released 3 Games in the public before going defunct: Metal Gear Solid, Tekken 3, and Gran Turismo 2. Luckly, the DC community found out the emulator's code and made their own Bleem! games that just require one disc since the original ones needed the actual game since the Bleem! disc they made was more of a boot disc. Thrill Kill & Pepsiman work great, but you can always play them on a regular PS1 or a PS1 emulator for PC since the DC lacks 2 dual sticks and that you can only use the D-Pad for them. Also if you want, you can save your games with the VMU, but you'd have to format the VMU to make it read like a PS1 Memory Card. Also get a VMU CD like Dream Explorer if you want. Useful for downloading VMU saves, using the VMU Emulator in case batteries die on the real one, Compress/Decompress saves for space, and unlock an extra 44 Blocks. If you unlock them, you can't save games for just DreamKey/DreamPassport and Metropolis Street Racer. |

| Try extracting the very first part or extract the Rar full of Rar files and extract the first part. They'll extract the game out of the other parts due to file limitations for one folder. See if that'll work. |

| The best way to fix this is to buy the game on Amazon or something. | |

and if I press ok it doesnt work and that comes back up Never had that problem before. Probably since i haven't downoladed Code Veronica nowhere else besides a torrent. Did you download it from the site i referenced you to? If so, see if there is a another download link (rips from the ReviveDC Team are the best). If that doesn't work, CoolROM is another good site. Or you can try your luck to find a torrent. |
